With consignment, we market it for you and payment follows once it sells. Consignment can take longer but may achieve a potentially higher return.
When and how is payment made?
For a direct sale, the offer is given before you send the watch. Within 24 hours of receiving it, we authenticate the watch and initiate payment using the agreed payment method, provided it matches the submitted details and passes authentication. Bank or payment-network processing times can vary.
What if the watch differs from the submitted details?
The instant offer is based on the details and photographs supplied. If inspection identifies a materially different reference, condition, authenticity issue or missing inclusions, we will contact you before proceeding. You are not required to proceed with any revised offer.
What if the watch does not pass authentication?
Lost Designer cannot purchase or consign a watch that does not pass authentication. Any authentication or return charges shown in the current selling terms may apply.
Are there fees?
The consignment commission is shown on this page. A direct-sale price is the final amount offered for the watch rather than a consignment sale price less commission. We confirm the applicable terms before you accept either pathway.
